Hello,
I recently built a new PC and am in the process of reinstalling everything I had on my old one. I did, however, change my AV from AVG to NOD32 because it works much better for me. It was a little tricky to set up Download Statusbar to scan with AVG but these forums helped. My problem now is I have absolutely no idea how to set up NOD32 for this addon.
There's another NOD32 configuration thread here but I've tried those parameters and it just will not work. It doesn't even specify what executable to use, but from searching it appears that V3 does NOT have the nod32.exe file anymore, NOD32 users must use the ecls.exe Command Line executable instead. So I went ahead and used that, but it still will not work. I've tried the parameters using the forward slashes as in the previous thread, as well as tried it usign the double-dash method described in the help files, but both don't work for some reason.
I'm testing this by downloading the EICAR test virus. With NOD32 fully enabled, I can't even begin the download, so I had to temporarily disable it. I don't think it should affect on-demand scanning, however, and while I can download the test virus, the command line window will pop up for a few seconds and disappear leaving the file untouched.
I have absolutely no idea what to do next..
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
