Hi, There is a conflict between Menu Editor and JSView. When Menu Editor is enabled, the submenus which JSView places in the context menu and in the Tools (or perhaps View) menu of the Menu Bar do not work correctly. Please refer to forum.softwareblaze.com/viewtopic.php?p=70 for specific details. I wonder if you could collaborate with the author of JSView to see if this problem can be resolved. Best wishes, Anton P. (author, "Open link in..." Firefox extension)

D'oh! Should have re-checked before posting. Disabling and re-enabling Menu Editor fixes the problem. (JSView was installed after Menu Editor was already running.) So any conflict that exists is easily remedied.

Aaargh [embarrassed!]
The problem remains, even after disabling and re-enabling Menu Editor. In fact, the developer of JSView has tracked down the cause; see the link that I posted above. He's going to recode for the next version, but if the loss of event handlers on menu items and their subelements is a problem which could affect other extensions, would it be possible to modify Menu Editor to avoid the problem completely?
Best wishes, Anton P.

Hi, this has come up before with other extensions This is caused by firefox bug 286619 bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=286619and so there is nothing we can do, but as the author of JSView has found there is a workaround on his end. The good news is that it is fixed in the firefox trunk, so it should be a part of the next major firefox release (3.0, i think)
