like many extension heavy users, the Menu Editor extension is a dream. I regularly go into the menu editor and clean up the tools and context menu.
1. What would bring this extension to the next level is if you didn't have to go in "customize menus" to remove something from a menu. Instead, if you right click on the item it would provide this menu: remove from menu restore to menu (with a submenu too) add separator above add separator below remove separator above remove separator below customize menu
2. I'd also like to see the ability to change the order of a menu with dragging.
3. It would be nice if the "customize menus" window could show/hide (in the window) what is visible or what is hidden.
4. If a menu changes because of a new extension, it would be nice to be alerted to it. Maybe alert to new icons in the "customize toolbars" window too.
5. One of the difficult things for me to understand is the items in the context menu and how they are called depending on what is right clicked. Can that be expressed in the "customize menus" window?
How is that for a brain dump?

1 - 4 : These would be very nice I agree. I'll definitely keep them in mind for future versions, but I also don't imagine that you are a typical user. Most people probably aren't always in there changing their menus. I could be wrong, but I consider myself pretty firefox savvy and I haven't changed my menus in months. <shrug>
5 : This is difficult I know. The code in firefox is kinda complicated so I'm not sure there would be an easy way present this to the user. Maybe small icons that represent the types of clicks possible - image, link, highlighted text etc.
