Dear all, I need some help to set up virus scan for F-Prot (command line scanner of F-Secure AV).
Program Location is: t:\prog\tools\fsecureav\commandlinescanner\f-prot.exe Arguments are: /nobreak /silent /append /archive=3 /beep /list /report=e:\common\logdateien\av_report_download.txt
Where to put the %1 sign. Leave this out leads to an error message. Put it on the beginning of the arguments list leads to an error. The same error occures when put %1 at the end of the string.
The error message ist all the same: Anti-Virus Scan failed to start. Check the configuration.
Thanks and have a nice day.

Dear All
figured out that the error has to do something with user rights within XP.
When running the AddOn on a Administrator Account everything works fine. But on a User-Account the error appears.
What kind of user rights or file access is needed?
Thanks.

I would imagine you just need execute privilege on the antivirus program and read privilege on the file to be scanned
