Scan first before opening file?

Hi there,

Is there some way of ensuring the download file is scanned before it is opened? I.e., if I am downloading a .doc file, it is opened while my antivirus software is still scanning it, thereby negating its usefulness!

I don't know if this is easily possible given the way that firefox currently works. I'll look into it, but for now I suggest saving it!
