in the last time in the antivir support forum we're ask how to configure it for antivir. well it doesn't work with your product. if you can could you make it possible? antivir needs it like this: path\Avwin.exe /S*H*L="argument or path"

Found a tricky solution... Seems working: Use the following arguments line:
/GUIMODE=1 /PATH="%1 (omitting the last ")
or, better:
/GUIMODE=2 /PATH="%1
With guimode=2 the program auto-cloeses the window.

C:\Programme\AVPersonal\AVNT.EXE Arguments: %1 That's now avcmd.exe instead. Perhaps someone could tell me how to implement the "Guimode" from Stefano ? And will there be enough time to read the DOS window before the autoclose ? The EXE you want to use is avscan.exe. Set it up as follows in Download Statusbar's configuration (your path may vary): Anti-Virus program location:C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium\avscan.exe Arguments:If you want the scanner window to always remain open after scanning a downloaded file: /GUIMODE=1 /PATH="%1 If you want the scanner window to automatically close after scanning a downloaded file: /GUIMODE=2 /PATH="%1 IMPORTANT: Consider configuring AntiVir to alert you when malware is detected. Do this under Configuration > [Expert mode enabled] > Scanner > Scan > "Action for concerning files" set to Interactive. Otherwise, you won't receive an alert if malware is detected (which doesn't mean you will be in danger of activating it).

I have just joined this board, so be gentile. I get a message "Download Status bar: Antivirus scan failed to start, check configuration." I don't know how to correct this error. I cannot download anything.

royknight: You need to go into the download statusbar options and turn off the virus scan option Tools menu - Addons, in the addons window find download statusbar, highlight it. click the options button. In the new window click on the third tab and uncheck the virus scan option

Hi, i have (maybe had) a little annoyance with the AVCMD.EXE that i'm using with the "Download Status bar" as an extension in Firefox. The argument used was a simple %1, but after problems about "invalid path...", and reading this thread and doing some experimenting i used /PATH="%1 and that seemed to work to solve the "invalid path" errors. Using any of the /GUIMODES results in closing prompt-window(s) before i can read them, so i don't use that argument for now.
But, the problem left (from the beginning) is that if i save a .HTM file (Save page as...), many many command-prompt windows open, most likely about 29, although there are less files than that in the page. Adding to the annoyance is the fact that in every of the many prompt-windows the message shows that the bootrecords and master bootrecords for both my drives are scanned too. And i do not think it is healthy to scan them so many times for just one download.
After download i have to close all these windows one by one by pressing "Enter". And sometimes that goes wrong, and i have to make any window active first, befor i can close it. The solution i am trying now is the option for the "download statusbar" to exclude the HTM and HTML file-extensions, and start AVP by hand after download is finished.
May i add some info to the "invalid path" and arguments problem: when i downloaded the page with the %1 argument, i only got the "invalid path" errors in farout most (but not all) of the 29 windows. That problem was, as said, gone using only the /PATH="%1 as argument.
Update: I use the simple %1 argument again. I looked at the name for the HTML file (as from this forum). It is INDEX.CGI.HTM I changed the name before download (Save as...) in INDEX_CGI.HTM and now TWO problems are gone: 1) Only one command promt window opens. 2) It has no "invalid path error.
But, since AVP command line scanner reports at every scan that "scanning within subdirectories is not possibe", it is not worth using AVCMD for the HTML files i think, so i will "exclude" the extensions within the options for "Download Status bar". I just added them to the existing list like: jpg, jpeg, gif, png, htm, html

Has anyone had any luck getting the latest version of AntiVir PE Premium to work with these extensions? Avira no longer includes or supports AVCMD.EXE, they've changed AVSCAN.EXE, and they now direct users to resort to using AVCLS.EXE. I have not been able to get AVCLS.EXE to work as yet. The command line window always closes. And I have not played with AVSCAN.EXE enough to figure it out. It's all so damned annoying. Edit: I essentially have AVCLS.EXE working with Download Statusbar, but it required me to create a batch file. What a pain. If someone knows a better way, I'd love to see it. Of course, at this rate, no one will reply until sometime during 2011...

Normally it is this way with avscan.exe at the moment:
create a file in antivir's program folder - f.e. cmd_scan.cfg with the content:[CFG] GuiMode=2
[SEARCH] Parameter=0x00300432
[CONTROLCENTER] ProfileName=ShlExt
[SCANNER]
(GuiMode=1 if you dont want AutoClose)
now the antivirus program is:C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avscan.exe and the parameter is:/CFG="C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\cmd_scan.cfg" /PATH="%1"
this should be fine, but Sysinternals Process Explorer told me, that Download Statusbar calls avscan.exe in a wrong way:
"C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avscan.exe" /CFG=\"C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\cmd_scan.cfg\" /PATH=\"C:\Users\Tomboy\AppData\Local\Temp\antivir_avcls_en.zip\"
so every quotation mark _ " _ is replaced by an "escaped" quotation mark _ \" _ and that cannot work.
the second pity is, that Antivir doesnt accept pathes like /CFG=C:\PROGRA~1\ANTIVI~1\cmd_scan.cfg /PATH=C:\WHATEV~1\YOUWAN~1.ZIP or /CFG=C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\cmd_scan.cfg /PATH=C:\What Ever\You Want.zip
i think download scan has the same problem

and yes i have seen and read the topic bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=303127a batchfile could be an idea? copy the correct commandline to a batchfile and execute the batchfile?!? is this possible for your extensions?
