Ok I fixed it... Download vpscan.exe from here... Symantec KB Aritcle: tinyurl.com/dqkfkvpscan.exe from Symantec FTP: tinyurl.com/96zvuOR get it off your cd through the Tools\Nosuprt\Vpscan folder. Copy it to any folder, though I put it in my SAV folder, usually C:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus. Then point the scanner to this file with the argument of just "%1" without the quotes. And it works! Only thing is that it won't notify you if it finds anything, it just deletes the file...its been confirmed with eicar...but you should also check...  |

I looked at the options and you can set this application to quarantine the file and display a msg box. See here: entkb.symantec.com/security/output/n2002121010445048.htmlRun vpscan with these parameters: vpscan.exe /createini /alloptions Then open the INI file to setup these settings: FirstMacroAction=1 MessageBox=1 And put these arguments in the executable line: vpscan.exe /ini %1 (The %1 is already included.) |

For those who use Norton Internet Security 2007 (v10), and wanna setup a costum scan for the a finished download, just type in this path: 'C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Norton AntiVirus\Navw32.exe' (without the quotes).

This does not work for me. I think it has to do something with the last line: [SCAN TARGET] Scan1= on the configuration page it says that Scan1= has to be set to something. It seems to me that when you use the INI setting that it ignores the command line options. please help.
