Norton Antivirus 2005 configuration

To automatically clear the scan dialog when using Norton Antivirus 2005 with Download Statusbar, use the following settings. These settings assume you have installed NAV 2005 using the default program locations.

Norton Antivirus 2005 (installed separately)
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP

     Anti-Virus Program Location:
          C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\Navw32.exe

     Arguments:
          %1 /noresults

Norton Antivirus 2005 (installed separately)
Windows NT

     Anti-Virus Program Location:
          C:\Program Files\NAVNT\Navw32.exe

     Arguments:
          %1 /noresults

Norton Antivirus 2005 (installed with Norton System Works)
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP

     Anti-Virus Program Location:
          C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\Norton AntiVirus\Navw32.exe

     Arguments:
          %1 /noresults

Norton Antivirus 2005 (installed with Norton System Works)
Windows NT

     Anti-Virus Program Location:
          C:\Program Files\Norton SystemWorks\NAVNT\Navw32.exe

     Arguments:
          %1 /noresults

This will still display the scan dialog as it processes, but will close it upon succesful completion of the scan. You might like to test your configuration by using the EICAR Antivirus Test File available at eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm.
