Hi,
I really like this extension, but today I bumped into a weird problem: the files I were downloading seemed to come through corrupted, only around 3 KB each. Turned out that they contained the "401 Unauthorized" error page.
So, the problem seems to be that the extension doesn't handle responding to the server's username/password query. I can first direct the browser to the protected section, give the password there, and then use the original links to download the stuff, but it gets a bit cumbersome. So, time permitting, you might consider username/password support as a feature suggestion. :-)
Thanks for a great extension!

working(auto)+ adjustable(timeout after xx sec/min) "resume"function and server is able to do this.Split file into more than one chunk if file is bigger than xx and server is able to do this..+ use more than one download location if possible-therefore needed"no atostart"option. At last - BIG THX for your work!

@renne Download statusbar doesn't affect how a download gets initiated, so any password issues would probably have to be in firefox itself, or due to a different extension.
@walker I'm not going to recreate all the features of a full-fledged external download manager. Cross-session resume is scheduled to be in firefox 2.0
