I am having the hardest time getting Download Statusbar to work on my Macbook Pro running MacOS X 10.6.7 with the latest version of Firefox, 4.0.1. I had to recently reinstall my OS and have been slowly reinstalling all the software, including Firefox and all of my favorite add-ons. I use DS on all of my computers, Mac an PC and have never had any issues before.
I've done the obvious, uninstall, reinstall, disable all other add-ons, extracted the .XPI in my profiles directory, etc.
I noticed one discrepancy, but since I'm not all to familiar with the inner workings of a Firefox add-on, wasn't sure if it was an actual issue. When I extracted my .XPI, I poked around in a couple of the files. I noticed in the chrome.manifest file that one line read: component {D4EE4143-3560-44c3-B170-4AC54D7D8AC1} components/downbar.js
However, the .XPI is named:
{D4DD63FA-01E4-46a7-B6B1-EDAB7D6AD389}
I tried manually editing the chrome.manifest to make the (GUID?)'s match, but no dice.
Any additional help you could provide to point me in the right direction or different things to check would be great.
Thanks,
-Tim
