As it stands there are bugs. Yes, I realize that at the moment, some people have to choose between having this and another extension installed. Because of the very flexible nature of XUL and the firefox extension system in general, it is next to impossible for Menu Editor to account for every possible way that another extension could want to add and display menu items. There are a lot of edge cases, for which I am not eager to maintain 50 different workarounds in menu editor's code. This doesn't mean I don't care about the bugs, certainly there are bugs that need to be worked on, and I hope to have time to work on these issues. Often there are changes that other extensions can make that will fix compatibility with Menu Editor and still maintain their functionality. I've been thinking about typing up a "Best practices for compatibility with Menu Editor" document, but I'm not sure how many extension authors would care to make their menu items comply. It doesn't help that Mozilla hasn't seen fit to fix some bugs that affect menu editor. bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=432384So basically, I'm happy to hear bug reports about conflicts, but be patient

With FF 3.6.8, "suddenly" I cannot save any image. FF just freezing. Don't know if it comes from a conjunction with another plugin. Somebody else got this problem ? (I had to desactivate the plugin).

You were wondering how many developers are willing to modify their code to make it compatible with Menu Editor. Since one of the Babelzilla translators for my extension uses Menu Editor, and can't use my extension at the same time ( thread), sadly it looks like I'll be one of those developers. FYI here is the problematic XUL. I imagine it's the groupbox that Menu Editor does not handle. <popup id="contentAreaContextMenu"> <groupbox id="mingalingGroupBox"> <menuitem id="context_add" label="&context_add.label;" insertafter="context-stop" oncommand="mingaling.onAddCommand(event)"/> <menuitem id="context_remove" label="&context_remove.label;" insertafter="context-stop" oncommand="mingaling.onRemoveCommand(event)"/> </groupbox> </popup>

Conflict with both image zoom and no script. Basically if I have this add on with those the rt click menu will not open at all. This is an old conflict that I keep hoping gets solved, but it hasn't in a year or more... not that I had brought it to your attention yet. I had just hoped it would get fixed. So now I have brought it to your attention. Hope to hear about a fix, or workaround soon. I really like that the send image portion of right click can be removed. Seriously who sends a picture through that method, anyone?
On most current version of firefox to date

I really like that I can remove the send image option from the right click. However, I don't like that after I install menu editor it removes right click context menu all together. I have discovered that it conflicts with both no script and image zoom. I have had this issue with this add on for a year or more, and had hoped you guys had fixed it. I had not brought this to your attention before so I can't blame you for no fix. So here is my bringing it to your attention.
Here's hoping to a fix or work around.

Oh a side note your recaptcha type thing will only let me copy the gibberish and paste the gibberish if I leave all scripts blocked on this site. Otherwise after I click the submit button it doesn't do anything or more likely is trying but conflicting since I can't finish the whole process.
For the record I tried it with all of my addons disabled and still had that problem. Had to enable noscript to use your forum (guest) board.

Before I started FFx 3.6.15 as usual, I got a popup saying there was a new update for Customize Menus, so I answered their question & installed 1.2.7
Unfortunately it reverted my previous changes & when I got into the addon to refix it the way I liked it, it said my original changes were still in effect - namely it listed `Close' above New Tab, but when I clicked `Apply', when I rt clicked on the tab I wanted to close, the drop down, still had the original default set, with `Close' 1/2 way down the drop down
Yo, when I used the previous version of Customize Menus, my placing `Close' at the top of the drop down, worked fine
Bottom Line : the previous version of Customize Menus worked, while the update is worse, since it doesn't
So, how do I get back to 1.2.6?

unfortunately has conflict with addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/personal-menu/i find "Menu Editor" better to handle, but i miss the FF4 compatibility - means the changing options are graphically adjusted to FF3 still, when it is about to configure the >>new menu<< with the "FF button only" ... this option the other addon does very well. on the other hand with "Personal Menu" you cannot really change the Context/Dropdown Menus.. so, ...maybe you find the time to adjust "Menu Editor" to the new FF.. Good Work!
